Traditional methods such as ancient enamelling techniques and local materials such as clay from the Nile Valley in Aswan are used to create beautiful pottery. Each piece is handcrafted by artisan potters in the small oasis village of Tunis in Fayoum.
Hand painting produces stunning and individual works of art. Every piece reveals the skills and talent of the artisan in a subtle harmony of patterns and colours, a free and naïve interpretation of the surroundings, mainly inspired by the fauna and flora of the oasis.
