Fayound Hand Painted Serving Platter

Hand-thrown and individually hand painted by artisan potters in the oasis village of Tunis in Fayoum, these earthenware serving dishes bring the colour and character of Egypt to the table.

Each design is inspired by the natural surroundings of the oasis, with hand painted patterns reflecting its flora and fauna. Traditional techniques and clay from the Nile Valley give every piece its own subtle variations.

Generously sized and flatter than our other serving dishes, the Palm platter is perfect for puddings, cakes, cheeses, canapes and family style serving. They are made to become part of everyday gatherings as well as special occasions.

There is a hole in the back should you wish to hang it on the wall.
